History

August D'Angelo was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Roxxon Oil Corporation.[1]

When Brand Corporation's activities in developing super-humans had been exposed, Chairman D'Angelo was contacted by Roxxon Oil's President, John T. Gamelin, who asked for help to oversee damage control. D'Angelo ordered Gamelin to close all the Brand Corporation's facilities.[2]

When Roxxon President J.T. Gamelin was replaced by a Life-Model Decoy by the Deltite,[3] an advanced LMD created by Hydra scientist Arnim Zola,[4] Chairman August D'Angelo obtained even more power at Roxxon,[3] also personally hiring Jerome Jaxon to work for Roxxon in acquiring the super-suit developed by Canadian scientist James Hudson, a decision which led Roxxon to a confrontation with Hudson's Department H and its sponsored team, Alpha Flight.[5]

Trivia

  • August D'Angelo kept a picture of Juliette D'Angelo, another character created by John Byrne, on his desk. It can be presumed that she is a close relative, even his daughter.
