History

At some point in the past, the Avengers, all the other non-mutant superheroes, had retired to the Moon. They returned to Earth after Magneto recruited them as a last ditch effort to combat the Sentinels, but his true plan was to get the heroes killed in order to bring back the animosity between humans and mutants. The majority of the Avengers except for Hawkeye, Vision, and Quicksilver were killed.
