The past history of the Avengers on Earth-804 mirrors that of their Earth-616 counterparts until the events of the Kree-Skrull War. In this reality, Rick Jones would be slain by Ronan the Accuser. This would leave the Avengers without the aid of the Destiny Force, or Captain Marvel in the final battle due to Rick's death.

As the Avengers would fight on, they would learn from Skrull emperor Dorrek VII that Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were their prisoners. This would send the Vision into a fury as he was just discovering he had feelings for the female mutant. The Avengers would also learn that the Skrulls were heading to Earth with a nuclear warhead to destroy the planet. They would dispatch their teammate Goliath to stop the attacking fleet. He would succeed in destroying it and return to Earth to warn S.H.I.E.L.D. of the coming invasion. However he would be too late to stop the Kree from destroying the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

While Earth's other heroes would rally together to battle the invading force arriving on Earth, the Avengers would split up. Captain America and Vision would go to the Skrull Homeworld to save their friends while Iron Man and Thor would stay behind to battle the Skrull fleets heading toward Earth. During the fight in space, Iron Man would be gravely injured. Thor would bring him to Asgard where healers would heal the damage done to him. Thor would then rally together his fellow Asgardians to counterattack against the Skrulls, easily overpowering them in combat.

Captain America and Vision would arrive on the Skrull Homeworld and fight their way through the attacking forces to find that Dorrek VII was slain and replaced with his daughter Anelle. With Captain Marvel appointed leader of the Kree by the Supreme Intelligence, the war would end with both working to make everlasting peace. After the Vision was reunited with the Scarlet Witch, all the Avengers would reunited back on Earth and spend a moment mourning the loss of their friend and ally, Rick Jones.
