History
The Avengers were informed by Wonder Man that he was supposed to lead them into Baron Zemo's trap in exchange for a cure for his decease. After defeating Zemo and the Masters of Evil, Giant-Man worked together with Reed Richards to develop a cure. Wonder Man's membership led to the early retirement of Giant-Man and Wasp, due to the lack of need for Giant-Man's strength.
The team later had a membership shake-up (with Thor and Iron Man leaving, in exchange for Hawkeye, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch), even though Quicksilver left the team due to the romance between Wonder Man and the Scarlet Witch.
While Hercules opted against staying with the team (again due to the power they already had from Wonder Man), they were attacked by Quicksilver, who was posing under the identity of the Grim Reaper, and Magneto after they had joined forces. However, joined by Black Panther, the Avengers prevailed and unmasked the Grim Reaper, though Pietro soon escaped.
