Synopsis for "Orientation Day - Part 1: All Abuzz"

On his first day at Avengers Academy, a nervous Justin Jin shares a hug with his Umma before being welcomed by the school's headmaster, Captain Marvel. She orients him to the campus and explains the Academy's ability to exist in multiple places due to the M'Kraan shard. Called off to an emergency, she tells him to find his roommate Aaron Fischer. Wandering into the Midnight Chapel, Kid Juggernaut meets a purple cat and his owner, Bloodline, who shows Justin an ominous Lighthouse in the distance. In the dining hall, he meets Escapade and offers his baking expertise to help her make cookies. He brings them to the clock tower and meets Red Goblin, before meeting Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur at the Savage Lands Labs. Back in the dormitory, Justin accidentally knocks into Aaron, but before he can help him up, the two are attacked by bees - and not just any bees, but the sinister, sentient Swarm!

Synopsis for "Orientation Day - Part 2: Honey, We're Home"

Swarm begins his assault on Avengers Academy! Aaron Fischer and Justin Jin leave their precarious situation in the showers to meet the others out on the lawn in order to face the threat, and a vulnerable Moon Girl is shielded by the new Captain America as he buys her time to think of a solution with his transferrable force-field. Moon Girl has Escapade use her powers to swap places with a drone to collect data on the Swarm's consciousness, while Kid Juggernaut is sent to disconnect the shard of the M'Kraan crystal powering the school's spatial superpositioning to prevent Swarm's misuse should they fail. Discovering that the Swarm is made of normal bees, Moon Girl then requests darkness to put them to sleep, which is accomplished by Bloodline's cat, Walpurgis, who blocks out the sun and reduces Swarm to a skull. Upon touching the shard, the students are relocated to the true location of Avengers Academy while Kid Juggernaut meets a mysterious woman named M'Kraan, who entreats him as a collaborator before disappearing. Kid Juggernaut comes to tell the rest of the class of his encounter after placing the crystal and sending them back to New York. Having suffered many stings protecting Moon Girl, Captain America is taken to the infirmary to recover. Captain Marvel and Moon Girl examine Swarm's skull, discovering that it was cloned specifically for the infiltration of the newly opened school.

An encounter with the supervillain Rhinoceress makes Captain America and Kid Juggernaut late for an important date: a how-to lesson on the Fastball Special from Colossus and Wolverine! Absent from the training is Bloodline, who hears a mysterious voice calling for aid in the Midnight Chapel. Captain Marvel pulls out Captain America, Escapade, and Red Goblin to discuss their fraught legal standings, but informs the students that they have unconditional support and safety at the Academy. In another room, Shuri teaches Moon Girl about unbreakable metals, and helps her develop a new alloy, "Lunellum", which Moon Girl uses to make Captain America a new shield that stops both bullets and magic. The students throw around the discus shaped shield as the grownups play a game that Wolverine insists is NOT strip poker.
