Synopsis for "The Pledge"
Daily Bugle TV's Marcus Wetherell reports on the Sinister Six's ransacking of Manhattan, interviewing both Mysteriant at the scene of a corporate raid before an attack from Squid Kid ends the segment. Watching the broadcast, Avengers Academy agree they need to help, as Red Goblin stumbles in to ask for assistance in saving his brother. Captain Marvel insists the students let the Avengers handle it. Not planning to stay put, Captain America knows where to find one member of the Sinister Six, and goes to meet and sleep with Mysteriant. Noting Aaron's long absence, Bloodline checks in on Moon Girl, who she breaks out of worry that she will end up a mad scientist like Squid Kid. Back in lovers' embrace, Mysteriant pledges to help the students infiltrate and rescue Stanley Osborn, unknowingly surveilled by Squid Kid.
