Synopsis for "Heliotropes"

The Red Goblin of the future rematerializes from his fallen skeleton and rises into the air, planning to bring Hexus beyond planet Earth as Nyarla-Gorath looks down from above. Moon Girl pleads with Dr. Nautilus to help her shut down the equipment before she is set upon by the evil C.E.O. Dr. Nautilus jumps to her rescue, but the Red Goblin shuts off his tentacles before his younger self leaps into the fray. Dr. Nautilus breaks down, lamenting his guilt, but Moon Girl pushes him as she escapes her symbiote bonds, entreating his braver nature. As the Goblins fight, an emboldened Dr. Nautilus salvages a piece of Willow-Wisp’s glider and uses it to fly towards the control panel. He overloads the system, and is pulled through the dimensional gate alongside the corrupted Red Goblin. Among the rubble of the city, Claire is found by Jara of the Riven Sky, who takes the Gorath Stone from her. Telling her this is their end, Claire begs, offering all that Hexus has, but Jara claims she only wishes to see the sun. The sky now bright, Moon Girl and Normie walk through a field of sunflowers and she explains their role in healing the environment. They sit and hold hands before Immortus arrives to bring them home.
