Quote1 All those things...All the things I said and did--I'm--I'm so, so sorry. I know that's not enough, but I hope you will allow me the chance to earn your friendship back. I don't deserve it...I just hope you let me. I'm not as good at--at anything as I am when I'm doing it next to you. And that's the truth. Quote2

Synopsis for 1st story

Thor, Steve Rogers, and Tony Stark look approvingly over the army Thor has marshalled to face Hela, made up of dwarves, Dark Elves, Storm Giants, Fafnir and more. Thor tells them they will not have to go to Hela, as she will find them. Mageth approaches Steve to thank him for what he is doing for them, before they kiss.

A shadow falls over the army and Thor realizes Hela is there, leading an undead horde. Tony notices Hela doesn't have Mjolnir with her as Thor takes the attack directly to the Hel goddess. The two armies clash, and Tony and Steve notice Thor isn't faring well against Hela. Hela then attacks Thor with undead versions of Bor, Skurge the Executioner, Desak, and Zelia. Tony and Steve fight on in the thick of the battle, while Hela stabs Thor with the Twilight Sword. Just as Hela is about to strike the killing blow, she's floored by a mystical blast of energy. As Hela gets up, she sees a green-cloaked figure crouched over the injured Thor. As Hela sends a burst of flame from the sword at them, however, the robed figure and Thor teleport away.

The two figures reappear next to Thor's hammer Mjolnir, and the cloaked figure is revealed to be Amora the Enchantress. Thor asks her why she is helping him, and she says she chose badly before. Amora tells him Hela has the Twilight Sword and will tear the Nine Realms apart. Amora vows to help Thor until the end. As Amora senses Hela approaching, she tells Thor to pick up Mjolnir. As Thor swings the hammer, he creates a lightning storm that is seen by his friends, as Thor and Hela meet in combat again.

Steve asks Tony if he can fly, and if so, to go and help Thor. Tony isn't confident he can fly far or fast in his hastily repaired armor, so he hitches a ride on a disgruntled Fafnir.

As Thor and Hela continue to fight, Amora blasts Hela with a mystical bolt more powerful than her usual ones, and destroys part of Hela's face, giving Thor the chance to strike Hela down with a hammer blow. Hela boasts that she will be the last one standing, when suddenly she's hit simultaneously by Fafnir's flame breath and Iron Man's repulsor ray, disarming her. As Hela reaches for the sword, Thor puts his foot down on it. Amora tells Thor the sword will listen to his wishes, and encourages him to put the realms back as they were. There is a burst of light, and Steve and Mageth find themselves standing in the beautiful fields of Jotunheim, and Thor, Tony and Amora also find themselves standing in normal countryside.

Thor says he has restored the Nine Realms, but Amora realizes Asgard is still on Earth. Thor explains if he used the sword for his own ends, he would be as bad as Hela. Amora tells him she'll never understand him, and Thor replies that may be so, but he will not forget that she has helped him. Amora says she can transport them back to Earth, and jokes that Thor can give her the Twilight Sword in return. Amora casts a spell to transport Thor and his friends to Earth, explaining she has been travelling there since before Thor even knew what it was. Steve meanwhile prepares to kiss Mageth goodbye, but is transported away before he can.

Back on Earth, Heimdall, Sif, and the various Avengers and SHIELD agents present wait in the ruins of Heimdall's observatory, saying it's been two days since Thor, Tony, and Steve disappeared. Spider-Woman notices a flash of light, and the three Avengers materialize in front of them.

Thor gives Heimdall the Twilight Sword to hide away for all time, while Tony talks to Steve. Tony apologizes for everything that has happened between them of late and says he hopes he will give him the chance to earn his friendship back, saying "I'm not half as good at--at anything as I am when I'm doing it next to you." Steve puts his hand on Tony's shoulder and the two men hug as Thor looks proudly on. Thor puts his arms over the two men's shoulders and they walk away from Asgard's ruins, the other Avengers, Asgardians, and others following behind.
