Synopsis for "Curse of the Cat, People"
What happened to Tigra? The answer at last!
Notes
- The events in this story take place after Agatha Harkness became intrigued by the missing Tigra's situation in Avengers West Coast #63 and before Tigra showed up, restored to normal, in Avengers West Coast #66.
- In this story, Agatha Harkness, Tigra and Tabur all behave as if the Cat People who transformed Greer Nelson into Tigra and once fought Tabur in New Orleans were the same as the Cat People who lived in another dimension and were ruled by a king. This is wrong because the two groups of Cat People, although related by blood, were otherwise very different, as established in West Coast Avengers (Vol. 2) #6, with the most significant difference being that the other-dimensional Cat People had become demons after living in the Land Within for generations.
- Although the reason why this trio's memories were so inaccurate in this issue has never been revealed, the profile on the Cat People in Avengers: Roll Call #1 confirmed that Tabur, after the evolution-reversing ray that had transformed him back into his original housecat form had worn off and he had reverted to his humanoid form, had gone hunting for the Cat People and had found his way to the Land Within where he then slew King Gerark and claimed the crown.
