Quote1 Do you know what rage is, Grandmaster? Not the pain of betrayal... the hurt of being wronged by a friend... pain is loud, you see? Hurt roars and bellows. It wants only to be left alone... to heal... or to die. But rage... rage is silent. Rage is cold. Rage cannot be stopped... and it never. Ever. Dies. Quote2

Synopsis for 1st story

Solicit Synopsis

One Avenger will gamble everything to save thousands — and the odds aren’t in his favor! The Challenger reveals his ace in the hole, and Jarvis awakens from a mysterious coma long enough to cry four chilling words: “It’s all a lie!”

  • This issue was solicited with Hawkeye wearing his modern costume on the cover to avoid giving away that Clint was going to wear his classic outfit. A 1:7 unannounced surprise variant was released, in which the solicit artwork was used instead. These variants feature the same barcode as the regular versions, and they were even packed in with the regular covers.[2]
