Synopsis for "The Ninth Day"
As the Exemplars prepare to execute the Juggernaut, the Avengers breach the defenses of their flying fortress and attack. The Avengers battle valiantly, but are overpowered by the Exemplars. However, Captain America appeals to their human sides and manages to undermine the Exemplars' fragile alliance. The Exemplars go their own way leaving the Juggernaut in the Avengers' hands. Later, with protesters still voicing their objection to the current membership, Captain America takes a leave from the active roster.
