History
"Awesome Mix Vol. 2" was the second mixtape Meredith Quill made for her son Peter before her death in 1988. The tape was left as a present and went unopened until after the Guardians of the Galaxy defeated Ronan at the battle of Xandar. It was then used by the Guardians to entertain themselves for their first few months of being a team together, but was destroyed along with Peter's Walkman by Ego.[1][2]
