History
The Axe of Angarruumus was a very ancient and very powerful weapon found by Doctor Strange in a witch's crypt in the center of the Moon. According to Strange, it "hums with magic."
When his dimension was invaded by Een'Gawori, Strange found the axe being eaten by one of the creatures, and retrieved it in order to defend his astral form from them.[1]
