Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, is a large sandstone formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory in Australia. It sacred to the Aboriginal people of the area, known as the Aṉangu. It is one of Australia's most recognisable natural landmarks and has been a popular destination for tourists.[2]

History

Dreamtime

At the beginning of time known as Dreamtime, the ancient Aboriginal Gods came into being at the rock.[citation needed]

The local tribes consider the ascent of the rock a revelation of a series of mysteries, each appropriate to the age and gender of the person involved, taken over the course of an entire lifetime. Here they learn the substance and true nature of the songs that bind the world together spirit and flesh, as they learn those that provide safe passage across the harsh and unforgiving landscape that surrounds them.[2]

19th century

When the British arrived in the region they named the rock "Ayers Rock".[3]

Modern Age

In his youth Gateway ascended the rock as part of his right of passage.[2]

Bishop was taken to Uluru by his grandfather Aboriginal Gateway in Dreamtime. Bishop had heard of the place of his ancestors but had mostly forgot about as Australia had been nuked in his timeline. He then experience vision of the past, the future and multiple alternate realities.[3][4]

One of the Skyspears crashed landing into Uluru piecing the rock effecting the Inhumans around the globe. When they went to investigate they found an ancient Inhuman rune that meant "Genocide".[1]

Alternate Realities

Dark Ages (Earth-TRN891)

When the world was being devastated by wars caused by an EMP that wiped out all technology, Manifold at Uluru asked the warring people to stop fighting and unite to help rebuild society.[5]

Wolverine: The Vigil (Earth-TRN758)

Agathe D'Arqueness transported Wolverine away to Uluru before he could find out the real truth that Agathe was hiding.[6]
