History

In the timeline of Earth 691, Kismet was the lover of the human hero Quasar and became pregnant with their child just prior to the Martian invasion. During the war, she sought to use her powers to protect human civilians from the biological weapons unleashed by the war but, after several weeks of constant activity, she had exhausted herself. To protect her and their unborn child, Quasar transported Kismet to the planet Vesper. Tragically, Quasar would perish during his return journey to Earth.[1]

Kismet would give birth to a healthy son, Stakar, who eventually would become the hero Starhawk. However, almost immediately after his birth, he would be abducted by the cosmic entity Era who was posing as his deceased mother, Eon. Kismet would hold herself responsible for the loss of her child, and would spend the next thousand years seeking penance as part of the Vesperian Sisters.

Eventually, Starhawk would learn of his own ancestry and travel to Vesper himself to meet his mother, who tearfully embraced her long-lost son. Encouraged by the mysterious Hawk God, mother and son resolved to pursue Era and prevent his evil schemes.[2]
