History
Azerbaijan is a country at the boundary between Asia and Europe. It is bordered to the north by Russia and Georgia; to the east by the Caspian Sea; to the west by Armenia; and to the south by Iran.[1] It was considered a major country. The ninja Elektra, operating as a member of the Hand, was involved in at least one hit in Azerbaijan, and later S.H.I.E.L.D. knew about it.[2]

- The region of Azerbaijan in Iran (or Irani Azerbaijan)[3] is different from the country of Azerbaijan.[2]
