History
Babs is a Sumerian Fire Demon who made the power the Abbey's Forge.[1] A sentient creature, it had been bound to service back at the Abbey's creation during the Iron Age. The demon preferred to be left alone, as it apparently itself a contract worker rather than a prisoner, and found mortal concerns uninteresting.[2]
When Zarathos unleashed its brethren against the Midnight Suns, Nico Minoru pleaded Babs for information on their weaknesses. It refused to talk to her until she compelled it with the Staff of One, promising to never speak to it again afterwards.[2]
