Barbara Bush was the First Lady of the United States of America from 1989 to 1993. To date most of her appearances in Marvel publications should be considered topical references per the Sliding Timescale of Earth-616.

The President and the First Lady, depicted as George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush, attended a gala evening to celebrate the opening of the new Avengers Mansion, along with many other celebrities. Someone who appeared to be Doctor Doom gained control over the complex,[1] but the situation was solved.[2]
Some time later, several journalist in the White House obtained declarations from Attorney General Roger Mollech but, as Mollech insisted in leaving, the journalist turned their attention to the First Lady, depicted as Barbara Bush, who was at the time holding her personal pet Millie.[3]
