History
Barton Blaze was the main attraction in a trade fair; due to him being a motorcycle rider expert in risky choreographies. He worked together with his son, Johnny.
Being a chain-smoker, Barton found out that he has lung cancer and little time to live, but he decided not to tell his son, Johnny about it. However, Johnny found out and the same night that the demon Mephistopheles proposed to cure his father's cancer in exchange for Johnny's soul. Johnny agreed and the next morning Barton finds himself completely cured. He believed that it was a miracle, but Johnny knew the truth.
Later, Johnny told his father, Barton about his project of a love escape with his girlfriend, Roxanne Simpson. Barton complained about his son's lack of prudence, but eventually gave him his favourite motorcycle and the best wishes for a bright future. Meanwhile, Mephisto continued his plan and when Barton performed his show, he made him crash with his bike, thus killing him.
Johnny found his father, Barton on the ground, Barton looked at him, with Johnny asking if he was alright. Barton then died, in the background, Mephistopheles laughed and disappeared.
When Johnny was older and serving as the Ghost Rider, he was in a cemetery. His face was burning and he was suffering. He reached his arm out to Barton's grave, but then fell down.[1]Notes
