History

The Basher was hired by the Bookie to pretend he had a run in with Spider-Man but it had been a draw. He broadcast a challenge to Spider-Man for another fight, which was witnessed by the patrons of the Bar with No Name. This led to them betting with the Bookie that Spider-Man wouldn't show up. "Spider-Man" did show up and knock out the Basher. Though it was discovered by the real Spider-Man and the patrons of the Bar to have been a set-up and Spider-Man and probably the Basher were fake.
