A US/Canada military outpost in Bathurst Inlet was the site of a terrorist attack by Russian group, the Bogatyri. They planned to artificially create an ice shield over Canada and the United States of America using Doctor Volkh's Quick Freeze Crystal. Through the intervention of three members of the Avengers West Coast (US Agent, Scarlet Witch, and Wonder Man) and the X-Man Wolverine, the attack was stopped.[1]
