Synopsis for "Shuttle Diplomacy!"
Adama is reliving a past event inside the Memory Machine, which has gone out of control thanks to a stray laser blast. As a Colonial Captain, Adama visited the planet Scorpia with Lieutenant Tigh. The humans of Scorpia let robots fulfill all menial tasks while they themselves grew fat and lazy. When they witnessed a Skywalk collapsing and the Servo-Drones unable to save several citizens, Adama risks his own life by jumping out of his hovercar after telling Tight to take over command from it's Pilot Drone. Adama manages to rescue the lives of a woman and child and when he himself falls from the bridge, is saved by Tigh in the commandeered vehicle.
At the Scorpian Embassy, the Ambassador has been waiting for their arrival most anxiously. The female ambassador's face is hidden by a purple cloak. The other ambassadors of the twelve colonies await her presence in order to sign a mutual defence pact against the Cylons. The ambassador refuses to travel by Viper, insisting on a Scorpian Diplomatic Shuttle instead with a completely robotic crew.
Unhappy about this state of affairs, Adama feels it unfair to ask the other eleven colonies to rely on a planet where humans let robots do they fighting for them, as it reminds him too much of their enemies, the Cylons. When the Cylons attack the slow moving shuttle, Adama and Tight take over the flight controls and head for a small planet called Vesper. They try to make cloud-cover so that the Cylon scanners won't be able to make a fix on them thanks to the planet's savage Astralon storms. Adama manages to shoot down one of the Cylon Raiders, which in turn crashes into another. Sadly, their shuttle is also hit and has to make a crash landing on Vesper.
Automated Warrior-Drones exit the damanged vehicle to protect the humans passengers, who refuse to fight and blame Adama for their predicament. However, the ambassador tells her people they need to fight besides their robots, or die with them as the Cylons are already upon them. The robots put up a valiant fight, but are no match for the Cylon warriors. Adama and Tigh are the only humans using their laser pistols, and aim to make each shot count. Then the ambassador asks is she can have one of the pistols, and by removing her cloak, reveals herself to be a golden robot. She joins the fight, advancing towards the Cylons with the remaining Warrior Drones, but is eventually cut down by Cylon laser fire.
Shocked, Adama and Tigh break cover and charge at the Cylons. Just when they think their end is near, they are joined by the humans of Scorpia, who have decided to join the fight after all. They manage to defeat the Cylons without a single human casualty, but the robot ambassador is beyond repair. Adama admits he was wrong to equate the Scorpian robots with the Cylons. The human Scorpians have decided that from now on, men and robots will work, fight and govern side by side for the greater glory of Scorpia.
