History
Belasco was the Sorcerer Supreme of Limbo who kidnapped the eight-year old Illyana Rasputin and took her to his domain. He promised to train her as his apprentice, but when Illyana became older and gained mutant powers of teleportation, she escaped from him. She spend a year training under Stephen Strange when Belasco had tracked her down again. Belasco battled Strange before Illyana had killed him with her Soul Staff.[1]
