History
Benny was subjected to experiments to try and make him like his father, the Comet Man. They were successful, but Benny ran away and relocated to Los Angeles, where he befriended the similarly powerful reality-warping Kelly Kooliq and ended up killing a few kids. When his father finally found him, Benny attacked him, which preoccupied Captain Marvel (especially since he had seen a vision of Benny causing the end of the World). He was able to easily overpower Benny, but was convinced not to kill him by Rick Jones. In the end, Comet Man fled with his son, although the Captain wasn't convinced he'd made the right decision.[3]
