History

The Thing shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counterpart, including facing Galactus, After Doctor Doom broke into the Baxter Building, the Thing and the Fantastic Four attempted to capture him, but Doom managed to escape.

In-Game Bio

When Reed Richards took his experimental starship on an unsanctioned test flight, his college buddy (and former USAF pilot) Ben Grimm agreed to fly it.

During the flight, a massive exposure to cosmic rays transformed Grimm into a brutish creature with orange, rocky skin. Despite being cursed never to look human again, Thing became a heroic founding member of the Fantastic Four.
