History

The past history of the Human Torch of Earth-944 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart up until the Fantastic Four's first battle against Galactus. While the Watcher of Earth-616 sent the Human Torch to the Worldship of Galactus, in this reality the Watcher sent Mister Fantastic. In this reality, Reed Richards was so distracted by finding the right object through rigorous testing that he was too late to stop Galactus from consuming the Earth and killing the Fantastic Four. The loss of his family caused Reed Richards to go mad and become the reality hopping Dark Raider, who then began travelling throughout the multiverse killing his alternate reality counterparts.
