History
Ben Reilly presumably shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counterpart. He was seen as part of the Watcher's intervention for his interference addiction. As part of his resistance therapy he was forced not to interfere.[2]
During his tenure as Scarlet Spider, Ben was recruited by the S.H.I.E.L.D. of Earth-41940 into the Spider-Men, a group of Spider-Man analogs assembled to combat the Multiversal Sinister Six.[1]

Among the Spider-Men
Scarlet Spider was one of the individuals Demogoblin and Jack O'Lantern exposed to hallucinogenic gas. He became a member of their Spider-Spawn, working with Tarantula to terrorize East Village. They were eventually freed by his fellow Spider-Men.[1]
Returning home, Ben was tricked by the Green Goblin into believing he was the original Peter Parker. He then took on the mantle of Spider-Man until he was murdered by the Goblin.[1]
