History

Bentley Whitman was a brilliant inventor with an intelligence which rivalled that of Reed Richards's. After Richards became Mr. Fantastic and his team the Fantastic Four became effectively celebrities, Bentley became deeply envious of the attention and decided to become a super-villain in hopes of getting the attention for himself.
