History
Bentley's likeness was among the horde of villains seemingly trying to flee the Sol system, but who were in fact trying to sabotage an intergalactic quarantine station. They were fought by the Avengers and ultimately all perished when they dissolved into "sentient explosives" - the being was never truly Bentley at all,[1] but an alchemic doppelganger created by Diablo.[2]
