History

Bert Hindel was the corporate attorney in charge of settling the lawsuit against Stark Industries by the U.S. State Department for one of Tony's creations destroying The Vault.

Bert was later tasked with handling the theft of unpatented inventions and defend his civil rights, but he couldn't do it quickly enough to prevent more innocent killings.

After being fired by Tony for his ineffective efforts to settle the various lawsuits arising from Tony's activities during the Armor Wars, Hindel volunteered to act as Kathy Dare's defense counsel when she shot and paralyzed Tony in jealous revenge for having broken up with her.
