Synopsis for 1st story

Black Panther catches Vlad's son once again trying to set a trap for him, but lets him go as a final warning — both for him and his father. Later, in Greenwich Village, Nicolae (Vlad's son) returns home badly injured, so his father comes up with a more convincing trap.

T’Challa, meanwhile, reflects on life in Hell’s Kitchen and on the death of one of his neighbors, who left behind an orphaned son. However, the man wasn’t exactly innocent, as he used to abuse the boy. His neighbor flirts with him again, but he heads off to his job managing the restaurant. There, his employees inform him that someone is waiting in his office — it's Luke Cage, who offers to help him, though T’Challa declines.

That same night, while T’Challa shares a moment with his employees at the restaurant, some of Vlad's henchmen attempt to rob a bank. Vlad steps in to “help” them, they take hostages, and bring them up to the rooftop as part of a trap to lure Black Panther. During the fight, Vlad attacks recklessly, putting the hostages in danger. Tragically, T’Challa fails to save them all — and one of the hostages turns out to be his employee Brian, who falls from the rooftop and dies. It’s unclear how Brian ended up there, since just moments earlier he was at the restaurant with T’Challa and Sofía. This suggests a poorly handled ellipsis or a narrative oversight.
