Synopsis for 1st story
Vlad unleashes his rage against Black Panther and a fight breaks out between the two. Spider-Man appears to help, and due to the chaos caused, the police intervene and arrest Vlad. After the conflict, Spider-Man tries to convince Black Panther to work together, but T’Challa continues to refuse.
At the 12th precinct, Detective Kurtz tries to interrogate Vlad without success. Vlad ends up walking out calmly thanks to his lawyer. A week later, Vlad attends his wife’s funeral along with his two sons, while T’Challa attends Brian’s funeral with his employee Sofija. They offer their condolences to Brian’s uncle, who doesn’t seem particularly affected.
That night, T’Challa asks Kurtz for information about a series of murders taking place in Hell’s Kitchen, which don’t seem to involve Vlad —though Kurtz isn’t sure yet. Meanwhile, Vlad meets with members of the other criminal territories. Feeling threatened, he betrays them and blows them all up. To divert attention, he asks his son to call three lieutenants to stir up trouble, but Spider-Man and Black Panther —who were monitoring Vlad— stop them before anything happens.
Back at his restaurant, T’Challa talks to Sofija about their neighbor Iris, who is clearly interested in him. Sofija then approaches Iris directly and tells her to stop trying, since Mr. Okonkwo (T’Challa) isn’t interested. Later, it’s shown that Iris works as a social worker and is visiting a family.
At the hospital, the doctor shows Nicolae the results of the experiments on Brian, who now seems to be more powerful than Vlad. During a blackout, Vlad’s younger son takes advantage of the situation to free Brian. Sadly, he confesses that his mother abused him and that he made a phone call that may have caused her death. Devastated, he injects himself with his father’s serum —though it’s unclear how he obtained it.
Meanwhile, T’Challa investigates the murders from his home and discovers they all occurred in places that had made calls to the same number — which turns out to be Iris’s. At that moment, she’s visiting the same family again… this time to kill the parents.
