History
The Black Sea Scrolls were one of many books mentioned, along with the Thanatosian Tomes or von Junzt's Nameless Cults, to contain knowledge on a cosmic obscenity that slumber:[1] Shuma-Gorath and the Old Ones;[2] and on the cults and lost races that wait for the end of that slumber.[1]
The Black Sea Scrolls have an uncertain relation to the Dead Sea Scrolls and to the People of the Black Sea.[3]
Content[]
The Black Sea Scrolls contained information on Shuma Gorath.[4]Notes
- The Black Sea Scrolls are seemingly inspired by the Dead Sea Scrolls, and by books of ancient knowledge and horrors within the Cthulhu Mythos, such as the Necronomicon, the Celeano Fragment, Nameless Cults or the Pnakotic Manuscripts, among others.
