Different from many of its counterparts, the Black Suit managed to overcome the will of its host, Peter Parker, and maintain their bond.

Managing to overcome the will of its host, the Venom symbiote vowed to become a better Spider-Man than Peter Parker had been. However, its predatory inclinations led it to be more aggressive and sinister than Peter had been.
