History
Blackball is an alien doppelganger of Speedball. The Magus created doppelgangers of earth's heroes during Infinity War that had the ability to feed on the dark emotions of the heroes but also had the ability to merge with them.
Blackball attacked Speedball's home town of Springdale, Connecticut and held Speedball's mother hostage. To defeat Blackball Speedball had to tap into his rage to muster the power to destroy him. Speedball was bothered that to defeat Blackball he had to be like Blackball. A sentiment his father Justin Baldwin, Springdale's district attorney shared.[1]Attributes
