Synopsis for 1st story
Called in to the office to discuss behavioral concerns with her daughter Brielle Brooks, Safron Caulder storms out with Bri in tow when it is revealed her grades are intact. Taking her daughter out for a meal, they discuss the changes going on in Bri's life. Outside, they are attacked by a vampire that Safron ultimately dispatches with a wooden stake. The next morning, the two have the beginning of a more honest conversation about the real life monsters they've encountered. In school, Brielle and her best friends Jayden and Rebecca meet new student Whitney Nieves, who shocks Bri later by attacking her while investigating a vampire hot spot. Elsewhere, Blade enlists Black Panther to help him return to the U.S.A., so that he can take care of some family business.
