History

Bogart Jeffries was an agent of the CIA.[1]

Silver Sable was sent to Ryker's Island penitentiary due to a conspiracy by other CIA agents who wanted to punish her for not accepting assassination contracts for them. When Sable was detained in an escape attempt, CIA accomplice Latisha Arnold confessed that she had been working for the CIA to harm Sable, and Sable was found innocent. Bogart Jeffries went to Ryker's to get Sable out of prison, informing her that the charges had been dropped and thanking her, although he warned her that Sable still had enemies in important positions and she was still persona non grata on American soil[1] and would have a criminal record there.[2] Jeffries understood that Sable did not trust him.[1]

After that, Sable retired from active mercenary work and went to live in Symkaria, although her organization Wild Pack remained operational. When a group of scientists working for the U.S. government defected, stealing working prototypes of their own experimental weapons, Jeffries went to Symkaria to hire the Wild Pack for the mission. Sable's aide Lorna Kleinfeldt took Jeffries to meet with Sable; but when he asked her to personally participate in the mission, she flatly refused, even though Jeffries offered to clear Sable's status in the United States. Jeffries agreed to hire the Pack led by Sable's father, Ernst Sablinova, to recover the weapons even if it was not possible to capture the deserters alive.[3] Finally Sable joined the operation when it had already started, but he destroyed the weapons and captured the scientists alive. Jeffries became angry with Sable, but Sable reproached Jeffries for her immoral plan, and threatened to make it public. Giving in, Jeffries agreed to clear Sable's criminal record in the United States.[2]
