History
The Brazier of Truth resides in Garrett Castle. It was discovered by Dane Whitman, the Black Knight who proved himself worthy of lighting the flame. The Brazier allowed Whitman to contact his dead ancestor Sir Percy of Scandia.[1] Whitman went on to contact Sir Percy for counsel on several occasions. Whitman used the Brazier of Truth to cleanse the taint from the Ebony Blade.[2] Later, Doctor Strange helped Dane Whitman to overcome the curse that the Ebony Blade held and which was affecting his sanity. In order to rid the curse, Strange instructed him to cleave the brazier, which he did. Once destroyed, Sir Percy of Scandia appeared and thanked Whitman for giving him his freedom and said that his ancestor was proud of him.[3]
