I had no idea what I was really witnessing that day... I didn't know that I was meant to die on that bridge. That the story of every Gwen Stacy ended there. But not hers. And not mine. That stupid bridge. So many awful things have happened in its shadow. So many of us had fallen there. But no one had ever jumped.

The Brooklyn Bridge (originally the New York and Brooklyn Bridge), one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States, stretched 6516 feet (1834 m) over the East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn and the largest suspension bridge in the world when it was completed and the first steel-wire suspension bridge.

History

The Green Goblin killed Gwen Stacy by tossing her off the top of one of the towers of the bridge, her neck having snapped by the whiplash caused when Spider-Man caught her with a webline.[1]

Sersi destroys the Brooklyn Bridge

Under the effect of Eternal mental disease mah'd w'ry, Sersi confronted her fellow Avengers in the Brooklyn Bridge and, in an attempt to murder her mate the Black Knight, she created a tsunami that destroyed the structure.[2] Later, Sersi allied with Ute, a powerful alien Watcher refugee from a dead reality, against a common foe. After their enemy's defeat, Ute sacrificed himself to restore the Brooklyn Bridge and several other facilities that had been destroyed in their quest.[3]

Selim kidnapped Billie Morales and took her to the top of one of the two towers. Her brother, Miles Morales, came to her rescue, but was overpowered when Selim was joined by Mindspinner. Luckily for Billie, she was protected by Shift. Selim tried to retaliate; however, Mindspinner wouldn't allow him to hurt Shift. Selim lunged at Minspinner and the two died as Selim unleashed a mega venom blast.[4]
