History

The Brotherhood, led by Police Chief Detective Eric Magnus, is a cabal of corrupt and violent policemen, doing the bidding of Sebastian Shaw. To Magnus's own beliefs, he believed that the Brotherhood is keeping the peace in New York City by threatening other rival crime organizations to keep their operations out of the city. The cabal was also an enemy of Professor Xavier's X Men, a group of criminal delinquents who refused to be persuaded to join the Brotherhood which exacerbated following the death of Warren Worthington III.
