History

He created the Gamma Bomb and was in a bunker with the General Ross and the daughter named Betty. He was about to test the bomb when he saw Rick Jones nearby and went to warn him, before leaving he asked Igor to stop the countdown something that Igor did not do and Bruce got Rick to safety but when the bomb exploded he was exposed to gamma radiation. Rick took him to a doctor where Bruce transformed into the Hulk for the first time and accompanied by Rick he went to Bruce's home and they found Igor who wanted to steal Banner's research and Igor scared shot him but the Hulk easily defeated him. He became Bruce and the army arrived. Betty Ross also arrived and she withdrew at Rick's request. He transformed into the Hulk and found Betty who fainted at the sight of him. Gorgon appeared and shot the men with a bullet that made slaves of its own. He took them in a rocket to another place and on the trip Hulk became Bruce again, Gorgon recognized him and Bruce, convinced by Rick, returned Gorgon to his normal appearance. Bruce and Rick fled in the rocket and Gorgon committed suicide to prevent the two men from being captured by the soldiers.

He believed that nightfall was the cause of transforming into the Hulk and with Rick they went on an expedition. Bruce devised a plan to lock himself up and he and Rick were kidnapped by the Toad Men led by Torrak who wanted information and returned Rick to Earth while Bruce the night being transformed into Hulk. Bruce was converted and the alien ship was shot down on orders from General Ross. Bruce was seen as a traitor and was locked up. He transformed into the Hulk and kidnapped Betty but returned to normal at dawn. Rick told him about the alien attack and Bruce used a gamma ray to drive the alien ships away. Before last night, he and Rick went to the cave where they were kidnapped from and Bruce locked himself in after dark.
