History
When Maestro first conquered the Sakaar region of Primary Earth, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Jim Rhodes and Valkyrie led a revolt against his tyrannical rule. However, it ended in disaster: Maestro temporarily took control of the Hulk using a gladiatorial control disk, making him lose control and kill Tony Stark. The rest were devastated and abandoned the cause, retreating into seclusion across different corners of Sakaar. Captain America faked submission to Maestro by agreeing to train gladiators for his arena games, of which Ares eventually became the ultimate champion.
Eventually, inspired by Omega Flight successes, Valkyrie and the others agreed to take up the fight against Maestro once more. Captain America rallied the gladiators against the slave masters, but the momentum was stopped when Ares intervened and killed Captain America in front of the Warbound. Still, the rest regrouped and Bruce and Rhodey finished the Gamma Arc Reactor that Tony worked on before his death. A member of the rebellion infiltrated the Crown City as a gladiator and fought their way to the final round of the arena games against the current champion. They fought the God of War and managed to kill Ares, only for Maestro himself to jump into the arena with the intent to crush the rebellion with his own hands. Rhodes arrived in his War Machine Armor, now outfitted with Gamma Arc Reactor, and used it to drain a portion of Maestro's power. However that proved not to be enough and Maestro overpowered Rhodes, disabling his armor and dealing him a serious injury. Seeing his friend in danger, Bruce Banner let out the Hulk, who jumped in to protect Rhodey and punched the Maestro out of the arena. They continued the fight in Maestro's throne room, until Valkyrie jumped into the fray and stabbed Maestro in the chest with Dragonfang. Despite boasting that this was not enough to take him down, Maestro collapsed and expired from his wounds.[1]See Also
