History
Valkyrie's history was identical to that of her Earth-199999 counterpart until Janet Van Dyne was infected by a virus from the Quantum Realm. Janet infected her husband Hank Pym when he tried to take her out of the Quantum Realm which resulted in the spread of the virus around the world. While the Earth was devastated by the Zombie horde, the survivors of Asgard secluded themselves in New Asgard, making it into a fortress where they could revel in safety. Meanwhile, Thor became aware of the presence of Thanos and left to forge a new weapon with the help of Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The resulting battle left the two Guardians incinerated and Thor badly wounded. As Thor was left broken by his failure, Valkyrie took charge of her people.[1]
Five years later, Wanda Maximoff, under the name "Queen of Sokovia", gifted the Asgardians a large amount of food and drink, prompting them to start a feast. At the same time, Kamala Khan, Shang-Chi, Katy Chen, Red Guardian, Baron Zemo, Jimmy Woo, Death Dealer, and Blade Knight came to Asgardians for help getting off-world. Valkyrie initially denied them entry until Blade summoned Khonshu to convince her to let them in.[1]
The newcomers pled before Thor, who ignored words. Wanda Maximoff showed herself, using glamour to make herself look human, just as she was using her magic to disguise the Zombie meat for the food at the feast. The Asgardians began turning one by one, as was Red Guardian. Zemo, Death Dealer and Jimmy Woo were killed, and Thor unleashed his powers on Wanda and her Zombies so that Valkyrie could help Kamala and her surviving companions escape into space aboard the Commodore. In orbit, they found that the Nova Corps had quarantined Earth to prevent the virus from spreading.[1]
The Nova Corps opened fire and destroyed the ship, but before falling to their deaths Valkyrie and the others were teleported by the Masters of the Mystic Arts into Kamar-Taj. They teamed up with the Mystics, Scott Lang and Spider-Man to fight off Wanda's army and prevent her from stealing the power of the Infinity Stones contained by Infinity Hulk. As soon as the heroes emerged from the portals, they engaged the Zombies, but quickly started getting overwhelmed. During the fight, Okoye managed to impale Valkyrie with her spear before Wanda managed to steal the power of the Infinity Stones from Hulk.[2]Attributes
