History
Bruno Markham was the owner of the Markham Machine Company who learned of Ernesto Mendez's invention: a valve that would revolutionize engines by reducing fuel consumption and pollution. He initially tried to acquire the discovery by offering Mendez a lot of money, but Mendez was an idealist and preferred to make his discovery known to the world, so Markham took the hard way by having Mendez beaten to death and kidnapping his nephew Pablo.[1]
Venom went to Markham's factory to avenge Mendez's death and when he found him, Markham was convinced that he was there to arrest him, so he burned the only blueprint of Mendez's discovery, convinced that with no proof they could not condemn him, ignorant of Venom's nature. He cared not for Mendez's arrest but for his death, which he caused immediately by throwing him into a vat of molten metal.[2]See Also
