History

Bunnyhopper was originally an imaginary friend -- a living plush doll -- invented by Samantha Parrington as a child. As an adult, Samantha would have multiple encounters with the Defenders that eventually led her to become a doppelganger of the Valkyrie. During this time, her parents -- wealthy but eccentric philanthropists -- supplied Samantha and her colleagues with funding, which included an advanced computer system whose A.I. took the form of Samantha's imaginary friend as its avatar. Bunnyhopper helped the ersatz Defenders immensely during a time when the original Defenders rampaged as the officious Order due to mystical influence, but has not been seen since the emergency ended.
