When Hedy Wolfe gained the rights to and began republishing the classic Patsy Walker Vol 1, she gave Tom and others royalties for their likenesses.[1][2][3] Using these funds, Tom opened Burly Books, a queer bookstore in Brooklyn. Later Tom reconnected with his old friend Patsy Walker and hired her new telekinetic roommate, Ian Soo.[3]

Trivia

One of the books being sold in the store is a Slash fiction between Luke Cage and Iron Fist, Power x Fist. Cage discovered it while visiting with wife Jessica Jones and their daughter Danielle, and read it with a puzzled look before Ian awkwardly took the book from Cage.[4]
