When the Olympian god Dionysus decided that the gods' home Mount Olympus had to be destroyed after the gods were opposed by the Avengers, he brought a nuclear weapon there to destroy it.[1]

Guessing that his half-brother and Avenger Hercules would oppose him, Dionysus recruited the mortal mercenary Butcher T. Washington to battle him, and outfitted him with various weapons, promising Washington somewhere of great wealth in return. Washington fought Hercules and had him on the ropes when the fickle Dionysus had a change of heart and transported Washington back to Earth. Washington materialized in a place filled with wealth, as Dionysus had promised. However, it was Fort Knox, and Washington was taken into custody by the soldiers who guarded it.[1]

Washington has military training and is skilled in using firearms and in hand-to-hand combat.

Strength level

Washington possesses the normal human strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.

Washington drove a tank into battle.

Dionysus gave Washington weapons to use against Hercules including a powerful taser-like blaster, and a garotte made of indestructible Adamantium.
