Synopsis for "Call in the Big Gun"
Cable argues with tattoo A.I. Belle before he leaps out of Graymalkin II, falling towards Breakworld. He remembers his briefing with S.W.O.R.D. Commander Brand, the first since his return as an old man. She told him of Dormammu and the Mindless One’s coordinated attack before he met their collaborator, Rocket Raccoon, a legend in Cable’s time. Cable uses his bionic arm’s shield to cushion his fall, but his shield burns out, causing an intense collision. Walking away from the crash, he dons a new hard light prosthetic arm with a tattoo A.I. combat specialist named Nicky before planting a Krakoan gate. His team comes through, a combination of new and old faces, dubbed the All-New X-Terminators by Wiz Kid. Breakworld inhabitants come to investigate, and Khora of the Burning Heart immediately kills their commander. Barking at her to follow his lead, Cable and his team enter combat swiftly, nonlethally dispatching the other aliens. Wiz Kid repairs and soups up the fallen foes’ transports, and the X-Terminators ride into an empty city, Cannonball and Lila Cheney catching up along the way. Cable warns them that the city will produce whatever it needs to stop them from stealing their target, moments before the city sends a mech firing missiles their way. Khora boosts Boom Boom’s powers, and Sam carries her oversized bomb to find its target, stopping the robot in its tracks. Entering the hole where the robot’s head used to be, a Khora-enhanced Wiz Kid transforms the machine into a planet-sized gun, and Lila transports the weapon to Port Prometheus on Arakko. Cable checks in with Brand on comms, who states that using the remaining mysterium, the ammunition for the gun is also ready.
