Synopsis for "Big Guns"
The Quarry is an arena on Krakoa where mutants engage in duels. This time, the young Cable faces off against Wolverine. Using his telekinesis, Cable pins Wolverine, and Silver Samurai declares him the winner. Wolverine feels cheated, but the use of all abilities is permitted in these matches.
While Cable is talking to Pixie and Armor, a young mutant named Curse approaches and informs him that Fauna has ventured into a dangerous area of Krakoa, a region known for housing monsters and being off-limits. It doesn't take long for Cable to find Fauna, but he, Pixie, and Armor also encounter a massive, lion-like creature. Fauna had been drawn to the beast because it appeared to be in pain. A battle ensues, but Cable soon realizes that the source of the monster's distress is likely something lodged in its enormous paw. Together, Armor and Cable manage to bring the creature down, and Cable removes the object—revealing it to be a sword.
As soon as Cable touches the sword, an energy blast strikes him, rendering him unconscious. While unconscious, he experiences the memories of a Spaceknight who once came to Earth wielding the sword, known as the "Light of Galador," to fight monsters. The Spaceknight ultimately failed, died, and the sword vanished for ages. When Cable regains consciousness, he declares that he will use the sword as his weapon from now on.
Meanwhile, in a distant galaxy, three Spaceknights, long dormant in a museum, are awakened. They sense that the Light of Galador has been found and immediately set off for Earth.
