Cacus was allegedly "the son of Vulcan". He served as a monster in the Colosseum of Rome.[1]
When Brutus and the Senate had Julius Caesar arrested, his guests of the Fantastic Four (Human Torch, The Thing, Franklin and Valeria Richards) were sent to the arena, where they were confronted by Cacus.[1]
The Thing confronted it, and briefly went into a frenzy when blasted by Cacus, enough time to defeat him and return to normal.[1]Attributes

Cacus had a great stature, and was able to blast powerful fire breaths, enough to surprise The Thing but not to stop him once prepared.[1]
